We are BODYBASED.

About us.

BODYBASED was born from a deep love for music, movement, and what happens when people gather in a room and move together.

At the same time, it grew from a recognition of how easy it is to lose connection to the body in everyday life, to get caught in the mind, in stress, in constant doing.

We created BODYBASED as a space to return.

A space where you don’t have to perform, achieve, or move in a certain way, but where you can arrive as you are, and re/connect through simple, guided movement.

We want to dive into ways we can use movement to understand more of our expression and inherent potential. This is a dynamic prosess of learning and unlearning, doing and undoing. We find this fascinating. Our bodies are not fixed.

The method

BODYBASED is a guided practice that invites you to discover the present mind and body; in ways of moving, listening and observing. It is a practice that offers psychological perspectives to deepen our awareness of the body and mind, offering tools you can bring into everyday life.

We believe we live in a society where our bodies are disempowered. We want to explore ways to become real again, inhabiting our whole body through movement and music.

BODYBASED draws on knowledge from somatic practices, psychology, and movement exploration. The method has a regulating and supportive quality, yet it is not dance therapy.

It is a space for anyone who wants to deepen their connection to their own body, regardless of background or experience. Our aim is to make movement meaningful, accessible, and transformative for people from all walks of life.

We both hold advanced education in dance and movement as a health-promoting method. We have developed and led preventive and health-oriented programs, and share a strong commitment to integrating psychological insight into embodied awareness and presence.
